The FILO Conference is a gathering of local church technical artists designed to encourage, train and inspire. Whether you are a volunteer or a staff person, an audio engineer or a graphics operator, set builder or jack of all trades, there is something unique here for you and the role you play in your local church.

BREAKOUT A. - Mixing Rhythm Section

(Aaron Ruse - Saddleback) - In this hands-on session, we will look at how to mix the foundational parts of the band, the drums and bass.

BREAKOUT B. - Mixing for Monitors     

(Matt Manix - Method Production Group) -  Mixing for front of house is easy; try mixing for 7 individuals at a once! This session will talk about specific techniques to create mixes that your band and vocals need to do their parts well.

BREAKOUT C. - Mixing Melodic Elements

(Aaron Ruse - Saddleback) - Keyboard, guitar, vocals. All of these create melody. They also can tend to compete with each other. This session will look at ways to make space in the mix for each of them.

BREAKOUT D. - The Foundations of a Great Mix    

(Dan Smith - Willow Creek) - This session will take a look at how to build a great mix from the ground up.

BREAKOUT E. - Effectively Using Plug-ins

(Ryan Pribyl - FILO FOH & Level Audio) - Plug-ins are the thing of the moment in audio. Look at some of the best ways to use plug-ins to get the mix you need. Also look at ways to not get trapped into a corner by overusing plug-ins.
